"Side covers" are the small body parts that say things like "Savage" or "LS650". Scorpion and I are saying that these things loosen up and rattle and/or fly off in his case!
The left side is the one that gave me rattle noise trouble. The "hook" part at the bottom I wrapped tape around to soften the metal to metal contact and I use lock washers with all side cover screws to help keep them in place.
My suggestion on any rubber O-rings is to put them correctly in place. These are cheap, easily accessible parts.
